Charlotte Jeantete, CPA

Charlotte is a Certified Public Accountant who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, and a Master of Accountancy, providing a strong foundation in financial analysis, accounting principles, and complex income tax compliance. Born and raised in Taos, Charlotte has been working in the accounting industry since she was a junior in high school, when she began an internship with Doug Swinehart. Charlotte now serves as President/Shareholder of Swinehart CPA, PC, living out a dream she had since she was just 16 years old. Together with her business partner, Sydney Swinehart, they pride themselves in carrying forward a successful legacy of integrity and strong ethical standards established by the firm’s original founder, Doug Swinehart. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys being a mother to a teenager, spending time with her partner and close knit family, brainstorming her next goal, reading, volunteering with local non-profits, and exploring new foods!

Sydney Swinehart, CPA

Sydney is a local Taoseña born and raised in Taos, NM. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the UNM Anderson School of Management in 2018. Sydney successfully passed all four sections of the CPA exam in the winter of 2019. It brings great joy and fulfillment specializing in tax and accounting services for individuals and businesses. With a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and proactive planning, Sydney loves helping clients navigate complex financial matters with confidence while supporting their long-term goals. Having Doug Swinehart, the original shareholder of the firm as not only a valuable mentor, he is also her father. It is an honor to continue his legacy as Vice-President/Shareholder of the firm beginning January 2022. Her spare time is spent with her two fur babies, traveling the world and any outdoor adventure available. She is also a proud sponsor of the Little Food Pantry located just down from the office on Gusdorf Rd.

Doug Swinehart, CPA

Doug Swinehart is a CPA and founding shareholder Swinehart CPA, PC. In 2022, Doug handed the reigns of the CPA firm to Charlotte and Sydney, and began slowly morphing into retirement. He has been a licensed CPA in Taos for over 30 years. Initially trained in construction management and passive solar architecture, Doug was an investment banker in Denver Colorado with the regional firm Boettcher & Company which specialized in municipal bond underwritings during the “go-go” 80’s. He understands the risk and returns of investing. He has also been a bank controller and trust officer. As an authority in finance and taxation, Doug has been recognized a number of times as a court 706 professional expert to testify on the behalf of individuals, partnerships and corporations to unravel complex financial issues. Doug loves family adventures, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, camping and all of nature’s splendors.

Pat Price

Pat has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati. She has been with Swinehart CPA since its inception in 2014. Prior to that she was employed by several other CPA firms in the Taos area, and prior to that, she was employed by a local bookkeeping firm. Pat has been a bookkeeper and now a tax preparer specializing in 1040 tax returns since 1983 and enjoys the process very much. Outside of work, she likes to help and volunteer at the Taos Public Library and Spay Taos.Org.

Gabriella Salazar

Gabriella Salazar holds an Associate Degree in Business from Central New Mexico Community College and is currently working toward her Bachelor’s degree in Business at the University of New Mexico. She has been with the firm for two years, starting as an intern at age 19 and advancing to her current role as a bookkeeper and payroll expert. During her time with the firm, Gabriella has gained valuable hands-on experience and continues to expand her professional skill set. She greatly enjoys working for Charlotte and Sydney, whose leadership, mentorship, and support have contributed significantly to her professional and personal growth. Outside of work, Gabriella is a professional musical artist and performer with her music being on all streaming platforms. She has performed at various venues and events in New Mexico and various states across the country.

Stephanie Nissen

Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a minor in Business and is both a Certified Paralegal and a Certified Tax Preparer. Stephanie currently serves as a Tax Preparer at the firm and has been with the organization for two years, providing accurate, detail-oriented tax preparation services to clients. Her academic background and professional certifications support a strong understanding of tax compliance and analytical problem-solving. She is committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism while supporting client needs. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and camping.

Diana Cardenas

Diana is currently pursuing her education with a focus on business and entrepreneurship, with the goal of developing strong skills in financial literacy, strategy, and ethical decision-making. She holds certifications through Surgent in Comprehensive Tax, as well as a Community Support Worker (CSW) certification. Through her coursework, Diana has gained experience analyzing real-world business cases, developing market strategies, and understanding financial statements. Professionally, she is new to the firm and has been serving in her role for the past seven months, where she continues to build practical skills that support long-term career goals in business and community impact. She is especially interested in projects related to financial education, leadership, and helping others build confidence in money management. Outside of work and school, Diana enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying organized, shopping, and being a performance car enthusiast.

Jasmine Mondragon

Jasmine was born and raised in Taos NM, always spending time in the mountains with family and friends. She is currently in her first year of college working towards an Associate Degree in Pre-Business Administration. She will then work towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting. Her end goal is to achieve her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. This is her first experience in the accounting field since working with the firm and has been learning and absorbing as much knowledge as she can. In her free time she enjoys baking, doing nails, and living an active lifestyle!

Dylan Gomez

Dylan Gomez holds a BBA in General Management from the UNM Anderson School of Management, and a Certification in Comprehensive Income Tax through Surgent. Now in his first year with the firm, he is focused throughout 2026 on mastering financial service standards within the tax and bookkeeping departments. Born and raised in Taos, Dylan brings a deep local connection and extensive prior experience as a rafting company manager and guide. This background allows him to streamline complex financial workflows while delivering precise, high-quality results for his clients. Outside of the office, he is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys river rafting, hiking, camping, and exploring the beauty of New Mexico with his partner and their animals. Dylan also looks forward to becoming more involved in his local community as he continues to grow with the firm.
